Horse Racing in Ireland has been confirmed by the Board of Horse Racing Ireland to be suspended until April 19th at the earliest. It has also made staff and facilities available as might be needed by the HSE.
My initial reaction was that this choice was wrong and would potentially create an even bigger barrier for Racing to come back after the misstep of Cheltenham. On reflection though that may not be the case. Continue reading
