Sport for Business will be live at Fallon and Byrne in Dublin City Centre this lunchtime for a very special lunchtime talk on ‘Women in Sport – The Coaching Effect.’
The event is being hosted by Liberty Insurance who have been leading the way on issues surrounding Women in Sport since becoming sponsors of the Liberty Insurance Camogie All Ireland Championship as far back as 2013.
They have also been responsible for some of the keynote discussions that have taken place on the subject including bringing Clare Balding over to Dublin in 2016 and leading writer and opinion leader Anna Kessell last year.
This year’s theme is on the impact of women in coaching and they have once again assembled a strong national and international group to spark the debate.
Tracey Neville is the Manager of the England Netball team looking to add the World Cup on home soil this summer to the Commonwealth Games title they won in 2018. Emma Hayes is Head Coach at Chelsea FC in the Women’s Premier League in England.
Representing the home team is Mags D’Arcy who is part of the coaching team with the Wexford Senior hurlers.
Also in the room and giving their opinion will be Cork City FC Coach Lisa Fallon who has blazed a trail in coaching across soccer north and south of the border; Rowing Ireland CEO Michelle Carpenter and former Leinster and Ireland Rugby star Tania Rosser.
It promises to be a real learning experience and we are looking forward to bringing you some elements on social media as well as a full report tomorrow on Sport for Business.
