She has already overseen the introduction of multi-annual funding for high-performance athletes and a host of new initiatives putting sport and physical activity in a strong position as society has reopened.\nVera Pauw was appointed to the top role in International Women’s Football here in 2019 and has overseen success on and off the pitch with the National Team winning qualification matches on the road to the 2023 World Cup, and a special place in the hearts and minds of Irish sporting fans.\nAoife Clarke has been leading on Lidl’s successful sponsorship of Ladies Football since it first came to life six years ago and now with another four more years confirmed it will be great to hear from her, and others in the partnership space, about what makes Women’s sport attractive to commercial partners.\nLisa Fallon has worked as an analyst and coach with Men’s and Women’s teams and is an eloquent advocate for the importance of equality across sport. Her weekly column in the Irish Times is required reading and she has also been named to the Olympic Federation of Ireland Gender Equality Commission.\nOrla McElroy of the Irish Daily Mail is Ireland’s only national female Sports Editor and will share her thoughts on the media landscape for Women’s sport and what might need to happen in order to raise the profile from where it is to where it is heading.\nLochlann Walsh is Chair of the newly created Olympic Federation of Ireland Gender Equality Commission and will discuss its ambitions on how it can contribute to the drive for genuine sporting equality.\n \nThis event has traditionally sold out so avoid disappointment by booking your place today.\nWe are delighted to partner on the event with three strong supporters of Women’s Sport, Lidl, our principal partners in this area; DMG Media, parent of brands such as Evoke.ie, Extra.ie, Business Plus, The Irish Daily Mail and Irish Mail on Sunday amongst others; and AIG, supporters of our annual 50 Women of Influence in Irish Sport list.\nThis is a forum where everyone who has an interest in the advance of equal respect, recognition and involvement of Women in sport will find something to awake and inspire them.\n \n \n \nIf you cannot see the booking form above go to https://eventgen.ie/sport-for-business-women-in-sport-may-2022 ( https://eventgen.ie/sport-for-business-women-in-sport-may-2022 )\n \nSport for Business Perspective\nThis is always one of our most popular events of the year and this year even more so as we gather in person for the first time on this subject since November 2019.  We are looking forward to welcoming many old friends and plenty of new ones to see what we can achieve together.\n \n \n\n \nSport for Business Partners\n[logocarousel id=”56327″]\n
