A Special Online Session on Inclusion
On Thursday evening, July 29th, Sport for Business and Cara will host a special online session looking at the importance of volunteering in the disability sport sector.
We will talk to Karen Coventry of Special Olympics Ireland, Mary O’Connor of the Federation of Irish Sport, Stuart Gartland of Volunteer Ireland and volunteer Pauline Nugent to discuss the benefits and the challenges of broadening the base of those who volunteer to help in sport with those for whom the journey has extra hurdles to overcome.
We will unveil two special videos created by Cara featuring the stories of Jordan Lee Killarney Celtic FC, which we will share with Sport for Business readers on Friday morning.
We will also be joined by Minister of State for Sport Jack Chambers, Sport Ireland CEO John Treacy and Cara CEO Niamh Daffy.
The session is a closed one for those who have taken part in Cara’s popular online training course for volunteers who want to expand their skill across different areas of sport.
We will have an edited version of the session to share early next week.
Is it time to take your place alongside the 250+ members of the Sport for Business network of sporting and business organisations working together across a number of key areas in the commercial world of Irish Sport?
