Leaders Lounge has announced that Channelle McCoy and Joanne O’Riordan will join Rassie Erasmus and Paul McGinley on the bill for the second edition of the successful leadership event taking place on April 22nd.
O’Riordan is one of seven living people born with Tetra-Amelia syndrome, a disorder characterised by the absence of all four limbs. She was named Rehab Young Person of the Year in 2012 and appears in the 2013 documentary, No Limbs No Limits.
She was also named Top Outstanding Young Person of the Year for 2012 by Junior Chamber International (JCI) after she spoke before the United Nations addressing the use of technology and challenging the UN to create technology to help disabled people such as herself.
She was a star of the show when she appeared at the Sport for Business Women in Sport Conference in 2019.
Chanelle McCoy is a popular business, leadership, and motivational speaker due to her experience with Ireland’s largest indigenous generic pharmaceutical manufacturer, Chanelle Medical. Chanelle is a huge supporter of women in business and mentoring young entrepreneurs.
She was previously a Dragon on the popular TV series Dragon’s Den in Ireland where she shared her experience of scaling up a business and taking it to global markets as well as giving opportunities to entrepreneurs who are the future of Irish industries.
Chanelle co-founded Chanelle Medical, part of the multi-million-pound global company Chanelle Pharmaceutical Group based in Galway. Chanelle Medical has won many awards, including Exporter of the Year 2016, Life Sciences Exporter of the Year 2016, Export Innovation of the Year 2016, Winner of ‘Project of the Year’ at the Pharma Industry Awards 2016, and the Ulster Bank Business Achievers Award 2015. In 2019 she founded Pureis, entering the CBD market.
Rassie Erasmus is the Director of Rugby for World Champions South Africa has brought them from their worst world rank ever of 7th place in 18 right up to 1st in 2020, achieving the highest accolade in the sport.
As an inspirational leader, Erasmus has implemented structures that have fostered a culture of success in many clubs he has coached throughout his career including Munster, Stormers and Western Province.
His passion for rugby stemmed from a highly successful playing career when he captained both South Africa and Lions.
Erasmus will appear at Leaders Lounge, taking place on April 22nd in an online environment.
He will take a deep dive into his coaching pedagogy, management style and leadership philosophy. By identifying key skills and attributes, along with practical anecdotes, he will look to provide the learnings that led to his phenomenal success as a leader.
The Leaders Lounge was hailed as a great success when it took place for the first time in November 2020.
It was a reflection of the year in which it was created, delivered as a virtual hybrid event from the Royal Dublin Society with contributions from Stuart Lancaster, Lisa Fallon and Fiona Coghlan as well as Gavin and McGinley.
