Third level sport faces an uncertain year with all institutions being placed at Level 3 of restrictions and most education taking place online.
The GAA and other sporting bodies have advised all colleges that no training, matches or tournaments should take place for the present.
College life will be very different from what it has been before and we will explore where this leaves sport in a third level context at a special live webinar for Sport for Business members this Friday morning, October 16th.
We will talk to leaders in the field of providing sport at this level, including Michelle Tanner from Trinity Sport, Nigel Dobson from Ulster University, and Catherine Mahoney representing Student Sport Ireland.
We will explore what it means for historic tournaments like the Fitzgibbon and Sigerson Cups in Gaelic Games, the Collingwood Cup in soccer and colours matches in every sport.
What will it mean for clubs and for students on sporting scholarships?
It promises to be an important conversation and we hope you will be able to join us for it.
Participation is free. Registration is open now. There will be room at the end of the discussion for questions from the virtual floor.
