Virgin Media has announced a new partnership with Irish Superleague basketball team, Garvey’s Tralee Warriors BC.
It will see them become the match day sponsor for all Tralee Warriors home games, and also comes with with court branding, tickets and a Virgin Media most valued player (MVP) award at every game.
The Tralee Warriors BC were established in 2016 and have become a strong force in Irish Superleague, winning the tournament in both 2019 and 2021. Formed as a result of a collaboration between local clubs St Brendan’s and Tralee Imperials, the club is now embraced by local basketball fans in the town, having developed a loyal following.
Earlier this year Virgin Media rolled out its 2-gig full fibre broadband in the town of Tralee, ensuring more homes than ever can avail of Virgin Media’s superfast and 99.9% reliability broadband.
“I’m delighted to support Kieran Donaghy and the Tralee Warriors BC,” said Paul Higgins, VPO of Customer at Virgin Media.
“This is great partnership, coinciding with Virgin Media’s rollout of 2Gig full fibre broadband to more homes and businesses across Ireland, including in the town of Tralee, and our ongoing full fibre network upgrades across the country.”
Virgin Media doubled down later in the day announcing a partnership with Letterkenny Rovers FC in Donegal.
The Women’s team’s kit will sport Virgin Media logos, while there will be also signage around the stadium.
