Eamon Dunphy’s podcast The Stand has hit one million streams during the month of April
The podcast was launched in November 2016 and listenership has climbed steadily since from an initial monthly average of 69,000 up to 946,000 in the first quarter of 2020 and one million now.
It is pretty much a daily show with Dunphy interviewing individuals from across sport, business and society on a range of different subjects.
In the past few weeks, we have had Giles and Brady come back together to discuss best players from the premier League mixed in with analysis if Covid-19 with Doctors and Economists.
It is as expected, occasionally spiky and rarely without a pretty strong viewpoint from the host but that’s the draw.
“We are delighted with our figures,” said Dunphy.
“When you look at them year on year they’re spectacular. I’d like to thank our team, our listeners, our contributors and our sponsor Tesco who have helped to take us to this next level.”
