Centra has revealed a new range of GAA endorsed products on sale in its stores across the country over the summer.
As part of its sponsorship of the All Ireland Hurling Championship the retailer will also be conducting a summer tour of 12 communities with brand ambassadors Henry Shefflin, Patrick Horgan and Conal Keaney.
The theme behind the activation is for them to be seen as ‘Champions of Healthy Living’. They will be joined by a selection of inter-county stars, past and present, in giving healthy eating and training tips to the next generation of hurling stars at venues including Nolan Park in Kilkenny, Semple Stadium in Thurles, the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick and Parnell Park in Dublin between this Saturday the 23rd of May and Saturday 22nd August.
These will culminate in a major event at Croke Park in October where clubs will have a once in a lifetime chance to win the ultimate behind the scenes day out as they enjoy a special training session with Centra’s ‘Champions of Healthy Living’, a stadium tour and entertainment.
To be in with a chance to win clubs are being invited to take selfies with their local Centra store manager and submit them for judging at the Centra website.

“We are committed to promoting healthy living through the Centra brand and our partnership with the GAA provides the perfect platform to engage with communities around the country on this important topic,” said Martin Kelleher, Managing Director of Centra.
“This year we are delighted to launch our GAA endorsed product range which is available in stores nationwide. Along with a fun-day out for all at our community events, our ‘Champions of Healthy Living’ hurling stars will help educate parents and children alike on the importance of eating well and being active.”
“Centra have combined the importance of healthy eating and being active in their new campaign and what better way to do it than by showcasing the lifestyle habits of some of our best hurlers,” added GAA President Aogán Ó Fearghail.
“Visiting no fewer than 12 counties our younger members will get to see first-hand the benefits of paying attention to what we eat and we at Cumann Lúthchleas Gael are delighted to partner with valued GAA Hurling Championship sponsors Centra on what is a most worthwhile project.”
