Berney Bros, a saddlery business based in Kilcullen, Co. Kildare, are to take over the sponsorship reins of the Ponies Class at the Tattersalls International Horse Trials and Country Fair 2016.
The well known saddlery has a long association with Tattersalls and has been supplying the equine industry since 1880. They are also the official leather suppliers for Team Ireland Equestrian. Tatts 2016 takes place from the 1st to 5th June.
Amber Byrne, Event Coordinator at Tattersalls commented “We welcome Berney Bros as the new Pony Class sponsor for Tatts 2016. Berneys have a strong tradition within the equestrian world and we feel are a fantastic fit for this class. The team in Berneys are very enthusiastic about the sponsorship and intend to really support the association. We are looking forward to working with them on the 2016 event.”
Tom Berney, Co-Owner of Berney Bros, said “Berney Bros are delighted to come on board to be a sponsor at Tattersalls. We have a wealth of talent among our underage riders which can be seen from their international successes over the last few years. Berney Bros are glad to support these stars of the future.”
The Tattersalls event will attract a huge crowd to the County Meath venue to see 370 competitors from around the world take part in a wide range of equine disciplines including three day eventing and dressage.
The horse industry is a massive employer in rural Ireland and a significant export contributor to the national economy. The Trials are one of the biggest global showcases and further partnerships are expected in the coming weeks and months.
