It could have a hero to hang its hat on as well as speculation surrounding Kieran Donaghy’s dropping Kerry GAA for Tralee Warriors was all the buzz.

Donaghy has committed to playing a significant part in the Tralee season, a factor no doubt in sponsorship of the team by Irish TV.

Tralee are back in the big time as one of twelve Men’s Super League teams playing at the top flight in a 22 fixture season that could run through to April after a start later this month.

There are nine teams in the Women’s Super League as well including DCU Mercy for whom nurse Aoife McDermott (pictured above) plays at the weekends before returning to her other life as a nurse.
