| Job Purpose:
To develop, lead and deliver operational strategy for the 2018 Para Swimming European Championships at the National Aquatic Centre (13-19 August 2018). Location: Paralympics Ireland Offices, Sport HQ, Dublin. Reports to: Board Chair of 2018 Para Swimming European Championships, Dublin. |
| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To lead operational delivery of the championships in the following functional areas: Logistics; Finance; Transport; Accommodation; Volunteers; Office and Administration; Security; Catering; Environment & Sustainability; Monitoring & Evaluation; Visas; Accreditation. To manage third party contractors to ensure successful operational delivery of the championships. To work within and manage the event budget provided by the LOC (Local Organising Committee). To sit on the LOC, providing regular operational progress reports, as and when required. To work with volunteer LOC team members to ensure all other areas (including Sports, Communications and Commercial) are on track for successful completion. To develop relationships which support the objectives of the championships, in particular with key World Para-Swimming and International Paralympic Committee staff and delegates. To work with Paralympics Ireland’s event partners; Sport Ireland, National Sports Campus, Swim Ireland, Abbey Conference & Events & Failte Ireland. Undertake such duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the championships. |

Salary band: Salary to be commensurate with experience and qualifications Contract status: Full Time Fixed Term Contract until the end of September 2018 with a three month probation period Preferred start date: June 19th Annual paid holiday: 25 Days plus Public Holidays Hours: 37.5 hours per week – All Hours Basis Notice period: 3 Months The successful candidate will be offered the role subject to completion of satisfactory Garda Vetting.
