Gymnastics Ireland hosted The Floor at the Sport Ireland National indoor Arena last week and put on a masterclass about how a sport can reach out to its own participants and make them feel there is nothing else in the world that could be so good.

350 gymnasts took to the floor in a production that was a canny blend of sport and entertainment, all filmed by Hello Deer media with content central to the day and how those involved would cherish the memory for ever.

When the Arena was being planned and built Gymnastics Ireland were adamant they would pitch to make the most of it, and to make it drive revenue that could be reinvested in the sport.

In the coming weeks we will catch up with Gymnastics ireland CEO Ciaran Gallagher  to look back on this event, look forward to the growth of the sport across all ages and locations and much more.
