
The locally based firm were successful in a public procurement process and will head the team which also includes Edmond Shipway as Project Managers, ARUP in the role of Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineers, Rider Levett Bucknall as Cost Consultants, Ben Veenbrink on Stadium Design Consultancy and RPS as planning consultants.
The planning application for the redevelopment of Windsor Park is due to be lodged by December 2012, with works due to commence, if permission is granted, during the summer of 2013 and be completed within two years.
The €30 million development is part of a major investment across sporting facilities in the North with projects planned for upgraded facilities at venues including Derry City’s Brandywell, a new ground in the Titanic Quarter for Glentoran which will also house the IFA’s National Youth Academy, a redevelopment of Ulster Rugby’s Ravenhill ground and Casement Park for the GAA.
