
60 clubs from around the country, involving over 600 players, will take part in more than 100 games throughout the feast of hurling that has become very much a part of the All Ireland weekend.
“In this landmark year, the 40th Annual occurrence of this event, Kilmacud Crokes is very pleased to announce that our brand new sponsor for this year’s competition is One Direct, one of Ireland’s leading insurance companies,” said Kilmacud Crokes Hurling Chairman, Peter Walsh. “Thanks to their support for this competition, Kilmacud Crokes can continue to showcase the best in club hurling talent in this unique competition. This official All Ireland tournament is one of the most prestigious competitions on the club calendar.”
One Direct is a subsidiary of an Post who have been strong supporters of Irish sport, most notably cycling, in recent years. The company’s Chief Executive David Egan expressed his delight to be associated with such a renowned event in the national GAA calendar.
