Tonight will see the unveiling of the Eircom Golden Spider Awards, the ‘Oscars’ of the Irish online sector.
Given the importance of sports content as one of the most effective drivers of an online strategy there is little doubt that the Sports category will be one of the hardest to have picked a winner in.
The six shortlisted websites in the sports category are BMX Ireland; Cricket Ireland; Flyefit; The Heineken Cup; Irish Triathlon; Rory McIlroy; Teamer and The Score.
Previous winners have included the Irish FA, Munster Rugby, Women in Sport from the Irish Sports Council and RTE.ie
