The FAI has secured a two-year extension of its partnership with logistics specialists DHL Express Ireland.

DHL is a leader in a sector that has done well through pandemics and lockdowns and the partnership is now heading towards 30 years having first been involved in the mid-1990s.

“We are delighted to renew this longstanding partnership and reconfirm our commitment to providing our unparalleled logistics expertise to the FAI,” said Commercial Director Brian Murray.

“As Official Logistics Partner to the FAI for over 25 years, we have been proud to support all Irish International football levels, from both senior teams to all youth and underage groups. We look forward to extending this partnership for a further two years and continuing to deliver Irish football to the world.”

“The continuation of our partnership with DHL Express Ireland is another positive for the Association and I thank Brian and his team for their ongoing commitment to Irish football as we look ahead to the start of the World Cup qualifying series for both our Men and Women’s Senior national teams and a great year of football in 2021 across all facets of our international game, said FAI CEO Jonathan Hill.

“This is great news for the FAI with the extension of a partnership that we are extremely proud of. DHL Express Ireland have been key supporters of Irish football for many years now and their renewal is a really positive step for all involved,” concluded FAI Commercial Director Mark Russell.

DHL are primary partners of the international teams alongside Aviva, Carlsberg, Nissan, Umbro, Spar and Intersport Elverys.

SSE Airtricity renewed its partnership with the domestic leagues, adding the Women’s National League for another two years at the start of 2021. Aircoach also extended its relationship with the international teams last month.

The search for a main partner of the Association goes on with hopes that a strong start next week to the 2022 World Cup Qualifying Campaign will fire up enthusiasm for one of the biggest deals in Irish sport.
