Melanie Nocher added to a great weekend for Irish sport when taking a bronze medal in the 200 metres backstroke event at the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Poland.
Nocher was one of five Irish swimmers to post personal best times over the weekend.
She also became only the fifth Irish Swimmer to win a medal at a major championships.
After paying tribute to the coaches and support teams at Swim Ireland Nocher said “This week has been one of the best ever for Irish swimming, with everyone
doing personal bests. Irish swimming is on the up.”
