2 – The number of teams from South America – Brazil and Argentina – that are being reported as perhaps to be invited to participate as guests in the Euro 2020 Finals. The idea is said to be gaining traction as splits deepen between UEFA and world governing body FIFA. The 2020 final could be held in part in Dublin.

2 – The number of red cards handed out to Dundalk players inside two first half minutes of their Ford FAI Cup semi final against Drogheda United on Sunday. Drogheda will now play Sligo Rovers in the final.

300,000 – The prize money in Euros won by Maarek, a racehorse trained in Tipperary by Barry Lalor. Lalor took over the training of the horse earlier this season when he was joined by assistant trainer Evanna McCutcheon. Her father Peter heads the horses owners the Lisbunny Syndicate. Lalor has yet to train a domestic flat winner in Ireland.
