Sporting achievement is something we are used to holding in high esteem. Whether it is the performance of Seamus Callanan, the bravery of Kieran Behan or the success of Annalise Murphy and the O’Donovan Brothers, we applaud and cheer their efforts.
It is not only at the highest level of national and international sport though that achievements can be recorded which stop us in our tracks.

Ultra Marathon’s are beyond the imagination of most of us. This required completing 200 km, or five full marathons between 6am on Friday and 10pm on Saturday night.
It requires planning, perseverance and perhaps a drop of madness to put yourself though that once. To do so three times is something we can only stand and applaud.
We salute you Mr Boyle.
