We love a good sporting start up at Sport for Business and delighted to report that one of those, and a member of our community, ActivePix has just been accepted onto the latest NDRC Pre Accelerator programme.
Active Pix is the brainchild of Paddy Ryan who also has Run Republic in his repertoire.
It is an AI platform that event organisers can use to take and share photography with participants, helping to amplify a sponsor brand.
So far they have taken over 500,000 pictures from 21 events and across seven different countries.
They were recently on site at the Skoda Tour de Connemara.
With camera set up across the course, participants can use their race number to access images of themselves with the facility to share across social media.
Simple idea, simple for event organisers and those taking part, potentially golden for the sponsors backing mass participation events.
The NDRC Pre Accelerator is arranged through Dogpatch labs and will deliver six weeks of valuable sessions for the 20 companies that made it on. They will get advice from founders further down their path with a real sense of collaboration and shared learning.
Good luck to Paddy and Active Pix. One we think we will be hearing plenty more about.
Sport for Business will host our Annual Sponsorship Showcase on Thursday, October 17th, highlighting up to 20 great ideas that could be of real interest to potential sponsors. one of ten events currently in planning for the remainder of 2024.
