We are pleased to bring you the first sight this morning of the latest AIB partnership activation within the GAA.

The sponsor of the All Ireland Senior Football Championship, as well as the AIB All Ireland Club Championships, has launched an array of GAA GIFs and Stickers which fans across Ireland will now be able to use on their social media posts throughout this Summer’s championship action.

The campaign goes live this morning and includes a total of 35 GAA GIFs to be used on social media, allowing fans to post GAA-related graphics to enhance their posts on Instagram stories.

The GIFs draw very much on the heart of GAA culture and include ones with Copper Face Jacks Dublin’s ‘Drive for Five’ and several of the typical calls, cries and complaints from GAA, which are bound to be heard around the terraces this summer.

‘Ahh Ref!’, ‘Steps!!!’ and ‘Hats, Bands and Headscarves!’ can now make their way from your lips or your ears to your social media feed.

Memories of days gone by will be evoked by the inclusion of one with the old yellow gloves with the black rubber dots.

The GIFs and Stickers can be found by searching ‘TheToughest’ on the GIF search bar on Instagram when users are posting a story on their account.

The selection of #TheToughest GIFs from AIB will drop down for use and can be placed in the user’s image or video for their story.

The library will be updated on a weekly basis throughout the summer as different counties fortunes rise and fall. There will doubtless be plenty used in celebration but also in the perhaps more acceptable form of slagging. Try explaining that to tourists taking in a game for the first time.

Last year’s The Toughest Game continues as well with prizes up for grabs for clubs across the country.

It will be interesting at the end of the season to look back on some of the metrics about the use of the Gifs and the games.
