
When they do though there will be many happy moments recalling the success of their campaigns and the recognition they received last night.
Marketing Team of the Year went to Heineken after an incredibly busy year with the Rugby World Cup, the Champions’ League, the Champions’ Cup, Heineken Tag and the Heineken Rugby Club to name but a few of the projects they’ve been managing and bringing to life.
Vodafone Ireland won the Sponsorship Management Award for its work on Vodafone Centre Stage. 2016 promises to be an even bigger year for the brand with major developments in TV and Sponsorship ready to lift them to a new level again.
The biggest new sponsorship of the year in sport so far has been the €1.5 million annual investment in Ladies Football by Lidl. They scooped the PR Award last night for their work with PSG Sponsorship on the launch of the campaign through the somewhat controversial Ladyball campaign.

Tourism Ireland and Aer Lingus picked up awards for International Marketing and Market Research. Both have been active and involved in promoting the benefits of Sports Tourism and Aer Lingus are sponsors of the College Football Classic coming to Dublin at the start of September.
One of our newest members was also in the spotlight towards the end of the evening when Nemeton TV, based in the Waterford Gaeltacht and producers of a range of excellent TV sports programming picked up the award for Marketing through the Irish Language.
Well done to all our members who won or were shortlisted. You deserve the recognition. Now it’s time to step up the game again.
