There won’t be any fans but the Guinness Six Nations will dominate conversations and screentime this weekend with Ireland getting their tournament underway in Cardiff on Sunday.
Here is a round up of how some of Irish Rugby’s partners have been activating the relationship throughout the week.
Guinness
The brand has focused on turning your home into the home of rugby with a series of social video content.
It also teamed up with Galway pizzeria Dough Bros for an ‘at home’ box of cans, commemorative glasses and all the ingredients for a pizza that you can watch in front of the TV.

Vodafone
Ireland’s main commercial partner has doubled down on media partnerships supporting Virgin Media’s live and exclusive coverage of the tournament on TV and Off The Ball’s coverage throughout the week online and on the radio.
They’ve also had CJ Stander getting us ready with a countdown…

Aldi
The official fresh food partner has launched a campaign to #BringItHome by sharing images of food creations that mark either rugby or one of the countries that Ireland will be playing against.
They’ll have to go some to beat the stadium, pictured above, that was created to kick off the initial promotion.
Energia
Energia suffered a blow early in the week with news that the 2020/21 Energia All Ireland Leagues were not going ahead but they are bouncing back by inviting followers and customers to channel #PositiveEnergy through our TV’s over the weekend.
Are you as excited as us for the return of the Guinness @SixNationsRugby?
Let’s channel some #PositiveEnergy to the Irish squad through our TV’s this weekend! ?@IrishRugby #GuinnessSixNations #WALvIRE #ShoulderToShoulder pic.twitter.com/RqFz798tKQ

Aviva
Caelen Doris won’t be out on the pitch on Sunday but Aviva Ireland was able to tie the fact of his having played Aviva Mini Rugby as a kid into the way his career has developed.
A fantastic token of appreciation from Aviva Mini Rugby alumnus @caelan_doris ?? #SafeToDream https://t.co/mtIAZzvZJj

Aer Lingus
The airline has been hit hard by the pandemic and perhaps found it hard to get its mojo going in social. It does have a history of being smart on social through it’s Irish Rugby partnership in the past so we will be keeping an eye on their activity.
After all, they proved last month that they can still raise a smile…

PwC
PwC, as primary sponsors of the U20 team, was pleased during the week to see that the U20 Six Nations would take place over the summer. They will be focused on graduates from that age-grade making a mark on the pitch at the Millenium Stadium.
Elverys
Elverys is the official retail partner of Irish Rugby and have been pushing the #DestinationRugby campaign to get people kitted out for the tournament.
Are you on the lookout for some @IrishRugby gear for the Six Nations? #DestinationRugby
We've everything you need to add to your wardrobe ?
