The 2025 MII All Ireland Marketing Awards celebrated a landmark year for Irish marketing, with Allianz taking home the prestigious Team of the Year award and Glanbia Performance Nutrition, in partnership with Opinions, claiming the coveted Grand Prix.
Held at Dublin’s Clayton Hotel on Thursday, May 22nd, the awards brought together over 800 marketing professionals to honour the most impactful campaigns, strategies, and teams in the Irish marketing industry.
Now in its 19th year, the AIM Awards is recognised as the premier celebration of marketing excellence in Ireland, with each category judged in person by a panel of expert business leaders.
Allianz: Champions of Team Excellence
Allianz emerged victorious in one of the night’s most competitive categories, winning Marketing Team of the Year. The award is a testament to the strength and cohesion of Allianz’s marketing division, which delivered a series of standout campaigns in 2024 and 2025 that drove customer engagement and reinforced the brand’s leadership across key sectors.
“This award reflects the commitment, creativity and collaboration of our entire marketing team,” said Mark Brennan, Head of Marketing. “We’ve focused on truly understanding our audience, building trust, and showing up in ways that matter.”
Allianz had entered the evening with six nominations, and their win capped off a night that showcased the company’s strategic impact in a fast-evolving marketing landscape.
Glanbia and Opinions Take the Grand Prix
The highest honour of the night—the Grand Prix Award—went to Glanbia Performance Nutrition in collaboration with market research firm Opinions.
“The entry stood out for its clarity, ambition and results,” said Shane McGonigle, CEO of the Marketing Institute Ireland. “It showed how strategic marketing, grounded in research, can drive performance at a global level.”
McGonigle praised the breadth of work showcased across the entire evening, noting how Irish marketers are “literally conquering the world, inspiring audiences, beating competitors and adding tens of millions of euro to the bottom line.”
Diageo Sets a New Benchmark
Diageo Ireland was another big winner on the night, taking home an unprecedented five awards, the most of any organisation at this year’s event. Their success spanned a range of categories, underlining the strength and consistency of their brand marketing and innovation across campaigns.
Her Moves Wins for Social Impact
Among the most celebrated campaigns of the evening in the sporting world was Her Moves, which picked up an award for its social impact and engagement work. Sport Ireland, Titan Experience and Ringers were there to pick up their award.
The campaign, designed to get more teenage girls involved in physical activity, resonated across the country for its inclusive messaging and youth-focused design.
Its recognition at the AIM Awards highlights the growing importance of purpose-led marketing that delivers both cultural relevance and real-world outcomes.
Celebrating Industry Growth
In total, 22 awards were presented across categories including Emerging Talent, International Marketing, Sustainability, and Insights & Market Research.
John West Ireland picked up the Sports Sponsorship Award for their work with the GAA on the John West Féile.
AIB, Irish Life Health, Flogas and Energia were among the other Sport for Business members to pick up awards on the night.
MII Chairman Mark Nolan emphasised the growing influence of marketing across Irish business: “Marketing is now at the heart of driving business success. We’re proud to showcase the talent that is shaping the future of our economy.”
The evening also saw the formal launch of the MII National Marketing Professional Services, a major initiative aimed at advancing professional standards across the industry. The new service introduces a National Marketing Competency Framework, accreditation tools, and a structured approach to career development for marketers across Ireland.
