The Camogie Association has announced that it will stream an additional match in each round from the Liberty Insurance All Ireland Championship, starting this weekend.

Liberty revealed this week that they would provide streaming of one game each week and this is on top of that.

The Camogie Association is also offering a new funding scheme for County Boards to do their own streaming of games from each level of the Championship.

Together with RTÉ’s ongoing coverage from the knock out stage, this means that more people will get to see streamed action from the Championship than ever before.

The Camogie Championship games being streamed live will be free to all and carried on the Liberty Insurance Facebook page, the Camogie Association’s Facebook page or those of individual counties.

Liberty Insurance will provide coverage of the Group 2 Senior clash between neighbours Waterford and Kilkenny at Walsh Park on Saturday.

On the same day, the Intermediate Group 1 tie involving Galway and Dublin at Pearse Stadium and the Junior Group 1 clash between Clare and Offaly at Fr. McNamara Park will be broadcast on the home counties’ social media channels.

On Sunday, the Camogie Association’s Facebook page will provide live streaming of the Senior Group 3 game between Tipperary and Clare at The Ragg, while Wexford will have Kate Kelly and Clare O’Connor on duty on their YouTube channel, as the Model County plays host to All-Ireland champions Galway in Group 2 of the Senior Championship at Bellefield.

We may not be able to attend the games but for five to be televised over the course of a single weekend is something that could only have been imagined a mere six months ago.
