Spare a thought today for the members of staff from the GAA and Croke Park Stadium who are setting off on a 140-kilometre cycle taking them from the centre of Dublin to Nowlan Park in Kilkenny.

#RollinToNowlan will get underway from outside the Croke Park Museum at 9 AM and will aim to arrive at the home of Allianz Hurling League Champions Kilkenny at 5 PM this evening.

They are raising money for the five official charities of the GAA which were named earlier in the week and there is an Event Genie fundraising page available here where you can add a little to make their blisters and chafing all worthwhile.

At the recent Business of Cycling event, we heard emotional stories of the kind of bonding and team building that can be driven by spending a day in the saddle with good friends and colleagues.

We wish Alan Milton, Kevin Sexton, Niamh Boyle, Fionnuala Cullen, Mark Dorman and all the GAA and Croke Park team well today on this great undertaking for wonderful causes.

Cheer them on the way if you see them passing, give what you can to make it worthwhile.
