The Curragh Racecourse has struck a deal with Online bookmaker Betway that sees them become the Betting Partner of the Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival at The Curragh in May.
The valuable partnership includes six sponsored races over the two-day festival that marked the first live sporting event to be broadcast on RTÉ during the first lockdown period of 2020 and will be so again on May 22nd and 23rd.
The Malta-based company has a history of support for Irish racing with sponsorships at Punchestown, Cork and Galway. This will be their first exposure at the County Kildare racecourse.
The Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival is one of the most prestigious weekends in the racing calendar. The top-class programme over both days attracts both extensive national and international coverage.
“We are delighted to welcome Betway to the Curragh for the first time and their support during such challenging times is a great confidence boost to The Curragh and Irish racing,” said Curragh Racing and Sponsorship manager Evan Arkwright.
“Their brand will be associated with a variety of very competitive races which will give them maximum exposure over both days.”
“We are delighted to enter into our first partnership agreement with The Curragh,” added Paul Adkins, Marketing and Operations Director at Betway.
“The Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival is a highly prestigious fixture in the racing calendar and we’re very happy to be associated with it.”
“Betway has an enviable horse racing portfolio and we’re proud to continue to showcase our commitment to the sport with our sponsorships.”
