In March 2021 Sport for Business gathered an audience of over 120 champions of the sport of Cycling to look at where the sport and the world of cycling is as we begin to emerge from the lockdown of the past twelve months.
We were joined by Sport Ireland, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Gym Plys Coffee and Kinetica Sports; Axa and Paralympics Star Eve McCrystal, all of whose contributions will be made available on the Sport for Business website this week.
First up though was the CEO of Cycling Ireland Matt McKerrow who gave us some insight on just how well Cycling has done in terms of its growth over the past year, and what that can mean for the future.
Among the key things you will learn from listening or watching back the interview below:
How many people took to cycling during the course of the last twelve months.
The percentage increase in spending on bikes and cycling in the past year.
Moving away from MAMIL’s and COBWEB’s
The importance of Active Transport
and more…
