Sports Movies that are memorable don’t come around as often as they should given the emotional impact that sport has. Irish ones are rarer still again but Handsome Devil is one that should be seen.
It won’t necessarily endear you to the world of macho boarding schools and its artistic take on the ‘ethos’ of rugby will leave many shaking their heads.
It will though make you feel better about the world, with all its wonders of friendship, accepted double standards, the mental and the physical side of sport and life.
