There was no shortage of top-class sport over the Christmas break but one of the key events was the appearance of the Leinster Women’s Rugby team at Twickenham, the home of English Rugby, on December 28th.

It was the first time a Women’s club game had taken place at the stadium and a crowd of 7,500 was there to witness sene Naopua lead Leinster out against Harlequins.

It was part of a day of action with Harlequins Gallagher Premiership match against Leicester Tigers as the centrepiece.

Leinster Rugby’s content team were on the team bus and in the ground to capture the highlights of a milestone day, including possibly the first jig to be danced on the pitch.

It was a free-flowing game as well as being historic with Leinster running in four tries but coming out the wrong side of a 47-26 final score.
