Tottenham Hotspur revealed an engineering first yesterday when they posted a social media video outlining how the new White Hart Lane Stadium currently under construction would accommodate a soccer pitch on top of a fully approved NFL pitch.

When Croke Park held the College Football Classic three years ago on the day before an All Ireland Football semi final they went to great lengths to use pitch marking s that could be easily removed but which still satisfied the demands of players, broadcasters and fans.

That made sense for a one off occasion but it looks like Tottenham is pitching itself to become the home of NFL in London, either through the three to four games a year currently being played or maybe in the future even hosting their own team.

Whichever that is the engineering is pretty impressive…
