The overall nutrition business grew by 9% in the United States last year and is an increasingly important market sector for companies like the Kerry Group, Glanbia and Abbot, all of whom are major businesses within Ireland.
ROS Nutrition is staking a major claim to the Irish sporting market and has also signed up deals in badminton, swimming and athletics.
The latest agreement will see the Dublin senior football team provided with the full range of ROS products specifically formulated to meet their in season and out of season training requirements from a sports performance and health & wellness perspective.
“Through our unique Elite Athlete Programme we have been supporting many of Ireland’s top sportspeople such as Irish athletes Fionualla Briton and Brian Gregan as well as numerous sports teams such as Armagh, Laois and also the DCU GAA teams,” said Darragh Church of ROS Nutrition.
“This is the largest sponsorship deal we have ever concluded and represents a significant milestone in the growth of our company. We are very excited to be working with the Dublin football team and are confident that our products will offer significant benefits to the players”.
“The use of sports nutrition products is an essential part of the preparation of any elite team nowadays,” added Dublin GAA County Board Chairman Andy Kettle.
“We want to provide our players with everything they need to perform on the pitch are confident that ROS Nutrition will deliver this as well as meeting all the important testing standards required of such products”.
The deal with ROS Nutrition is the fourth which the Dublin team has entered into since engaging Legacy Consultants, run by Bernard Brogan and his cousin James to assist in building a commercial portfolio.
The team signed up with the National Aquatic Centre and Morton Stadium last December and also has official partnerships with Skins compression gear, Renault as the official vehicle partner and the Gibson Hotel where Dublin Press Conferences are now held.
