The judging panel for the prestigious European Sponsorship Awards has been revealed with eleven Irish industry leaders among the 78 who will be deciding the Awards this year.

Other countries to be represented include experts from Belgium, Finland, France, India, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

ESA’s two judging panels cover the main ESA Awards and the invitation-only ESA Best of Europe.

Grace Crowley and Rob Hartnett of Sport for Business are the two Irish judges among the 13 who will judge the latter, alongside Peter Raymond of the ESA and representatives of Visa, AS Roma and the University of London.

The other Irish or Irish-based judges of the awards are Elma Beirne, Lisa Bergin, Stephen Bradshaw, Lorna Danaher, Kate Fitzgerald, Michael Green, Shireen McDonagh, Rob Pearson and Colm Roche.

The ESA Awards is now over a decade old, and has grown in prestige throughout.

Ireland has had great success with Electric Ireland, the GAA, Lidl, Vodafone and Teneo among those who have won awards. Judging takes place purely on merit against a comprehensive criteria-based matrix.

The early bird closing date for submissions is today and the awards will be presented early in the New Year at a ceremony in London.
