One of the biggest sporting awards celebrations of the year takes place on Monday December 8th and Sport for Business members who take a table will gain a special opportunity to meet and spend time with the sporting star of their choice.
Sport for Business is pleased to be a partner of the Excellence in Sports Awards for the first time this year and it promises to be a magical event for anyone with an interest in sport and how it can lift us.
Hosted by Padraig Harrington the event is unique in that every table gets to have one of Ireland’s sporting legends sitting with them for the duration of the meal.
Among those already confirmed for this year’s black tie dinner in the Doubletree by Hilton hotel are hurling legends Henry Shefflin, Brian Cody, Nicky English, DJ Carey and JJ Delaney; Ruby Walsh and Charlie Swan from the world of Racing; Leo Cullen, Gordon D’Arcy, Mike Gibson and Shane Byrne from Rugby as well as World Champions Stephen Roche and Ken Doherty, Olympians Ronnie Delaney and Cian O’Connor and more being confirmed every day.
Previous attendees have included Katie Taylor, Rory McIlroy, Eddie Jordan, Sonia O’Sullivan Brian O’Driscoll and Martin O’Neill.
All the money raised on the night goes to the work of the Irish Youth Foundation and many of Ireland’s leading businesses have already secured their place.
