My Club FinancesMy Club Finances, the Dublin and Galway based company offering online registration, lottery and management services to sports clubs has secured significant new investment and is to expand its services to the UK over the next two years.

The company has also appointed Andy Sharkey and Walter Hobbs to Non Executive Director roles as it expands the service currently offered to almost 900 clubs.

Sharkey is a former Director of Quinnsworth who cam to prominence in the Sporting and Business worlds when leading the original management buyout of Lifestyle Sports from Tesco in 1997.

The company opened a new office and training facility for club officials in Dublin earlier this year and it is here primarily that the new investment will be put to use in expanding the team of people that are reaching out to clubs and delivering the services.

Recently My Club Finances has focused strongly on the area of data management and security with recent news of breaches in the business world highlighting the danger for amateur sports clubs and volunteer officials handling personal data of members.

The business grew from an initial offering of an online lotto system that is now widely used across clubs from a multitude of sports.  It provides the back end support to enable clubs run their own lottery with recurring subscriptions applied for and paid directly from members’ bank accounts.
