The FAI has announced the 2012 Communication awards for work undertaken in the positive promotion of Irish soccer.
The four categories of award are for the best club or league PRO; the best publication by a club, league or affiliate; the best coverage in print media and the best in broadcast media.
It is unlikely anything will beat ‘Green is the Colour’ in the last named but there will be strong competition in the other three.
Publications remain a strong identifier in sport, despite an inevitable shift towards digital content and Sport for Business provides access to a design and print service for clubs that gives a good discount for members of our community on an item which can produce substantial revenues.
Feedback to our proposals on six ways to capture the ‘Spirit of Sopot’ has been strong and hopefully some of the proposals will be taken up and reported on in a way that will benefit the domestic game.
