The kick-off times, dates and broadcast details for the BKT United Rugby Championship Quarter-Finals have been confirmed for Friday, May 5th and Saturday, May 6th.
The 2023 BKT URC Play-Offs will kick off in Belfast where Ulster (2) will host an Irish derby against Connacht (7) at Kingspan Stadium on Friday, May 5 at 19:35.
The Saturday programme will begin in Cape Town where defending champions, DHL Stormers (3), will take on their South African rivals, Vodacom Bulls (6), in a rematch of last season’s URC Grand Final. The game at DHL Stadium is scheduled to get underway at 14:30 Irish time.
Top-ranked Leinster will host the Cell C Sharks (8) in Dublin at 17:00, at the Aviva Stadium. It will be the Sharks’ second trip to the Irish capital this season having taken part in a thrilling 88-point encounter back in October.
The Quarter-Finals close out in Scotland where Munster (5), in search of their first League title since 2011 will play Glasgow Warriors (4) making their return to the Play-Offs for the first time since 2019.
TG4 will show the Ulster Vs Connacht and South African games while The Leinster and Munster matches will both be live on RTÉ2. All four matches will also be shown on Premier Sports and streamed on URC TV.
If Leinster and Munster both come through thet will meet in the semi-final, most likely at the Aviva Stadium the following week. If Munster win but Leinster lose, they will host the Cell C Sharks most likely in Thomond.
If Ulster beat Connacht they will host South African opponents at Kingspan Stadium but if Connacht win they will have to travel to the southern hemisphere for their semi-final.
The highest-ranked team to qualify will play in their home ground on Saturday, May 27th, meaning that Leinster might play every game for the remainder of this season at the Aviva Stadium.
