Six counties, three All-Ireland finals and one of the biggest annual occasions in Irish women’s sport will come together at Croke Park on Sunday.

The TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Finals will begin with Antrim against Carlow in the Junior decider at 11.45 am. Fermanagh face Roscommon in the Intermediate final at 1.45 pm before Galway and Kerry contest the Brendan Martin Cup at 4.15 pm. All three games will be broadcast live on TG4.

Around the matches, the LGFA, TG4 and Lidl Ireland have developed complementary campaigns designed to increase attendance, extend the occasion’s reach and connect the county finals with the wider Ladies Gaelic Football community.

At the centre of the LGFA’s promotional activity is For the Love of Our Sport, a campaign launched ahead of International Women’s Day in March and now being used as the emotional call to action for Finals Day.

The campaign began with leading voices from across the sport, including Cork legend Bríd Stack, Cavan captain Aishling Sheridan, Dublin’s Leah Caffrey and former Galway footballer and Republic of Ireland international Niamh Fahey.

Its central message is that expressions of support for women’s sport should translate into attendance, visibility, and meaningful backing for the players. It has been positioned as a rallying cry for the 2026 season, encouraging supporters to experience the TG4 Championship live and help create the atmosphere in which the sport can continue to grow.

That message has now moved decisively into its Finals Day phase.

The campaign line — “For the Love of Our Sport. For the Love of Ladies Gaelic Football” — is being used alongside ticketing and social content calling on supporters to be at Croke Park on Sunday.

It provides a strong umbrella for the various strands of activity surrounding the finals. Rather than relying solely on the identity of the competing counties, the LGFA is making a broader appeal to everyone involved in the game: players, clubs, volunteers, families and followers of Irish women’s sport.

I’ll be wearing my For the love of our Sport jersey with pride to the Finals on Sunday.

TG4 Brings the Finals into Communities

TG4 has taken that message beyond traditional broadcast promotion through its partnership with parkrun Ireland.

More than 160 parkrun and junior parkrun events across Ireland were invited to participate in a Wear Your County Colours weekend on July 25 and 26.

Participants were encouraged to represent their counties regardless of whether they had reached an All-Ireland final, connecting the Croke Park occasion with communities throughout the country.

The activation brought together two organisations with a strong emphasis on local identity, physical activity, participation and volunteering. It also gave TG4 a way to promote the finals beyond television advertising and sports media, reaching families and recreational participants in their own communities.

It comes during a significant year for the broadcaster’s relationship with the LGFA.

TG4 and the association are marking 25 years of partnership in 2026 and have agreed a new five-year sponsorship and broadcast extension that will carry the relationship through to the end of the 2032 season.

TG4 is showing 15 Championship fixtures live on linear television in 2026, including Sunday’s Junior, Intermediate and Senior finals, alongside further coverage across the TG4 Player, TG4 App and Spórt TG4 YouTube channel.

The combination of title sponsorship, free-to-air coverage, streaming, social content and community activation makes it one of the most comprehensive and enduring partnerships in Irish women’s sport.

Clubs Become Part of Finals Day

The LGFA has also ensured that the occasion is connected directly to its grassroots membership.

Twelve clubs representing eleven counties have been selected to participate in half-time exhibition games at Croke Park.

Six Under-12 teams — Oola, St John’s, St Broughans, Belcoo O’Rahillys, Aherlow and Ballinascreen — will take part, alongside six Sports Direct Gaelic4Mothers&Others teams from Wolfe Tones na Sionna, Railyard, Naomh Séamas, Moorefield, Truagh and Caltra Cuans.

It is a valuable participation-led activation. Players who might otherwise have watched the finals from the stands will instead get the opportunity to play on the Croke Park pitch, while their clubs, teammates and families gain a direct personal connection with the event.

That connection is supported by family and club ticketing. Adult admission is €30, with tickets for students, OAPs and under-18s priced at €15. A family ticket for two adults and two under-18s costs €70, while a special club offer provides admission for one adult and ten under-18s for €60 when booked through the LGFA.

Lidl Adds Visibility and Match-Day Experience

Lidl Ireland’s contribution brings a further commercial and fan-experience dimension.

A Lidl Fan Zone is being promoted as part of the family experience at Croke Park, extending the retailer’s presence from its sponsorship of the National Leagues into the biggest Championship occasion of the season.

The activity sits alongside Lidl’s broader Greatness Deserves to Be Seen campaign.

The campaign has involved Lidl interrupting its own television advertising to replace retail promotions with significant moments from Ladies Gaelic Football, using the retailer’s paid media reach to give the players and the sport greater mainstream visibility.

By April, Lidl reported that the campaign had delivered more than 63 hours of television exposure for LGFA players and accumulated more than 12 million views across television and social media. The retailer has also committed a further €7.5 million to its LGFA partnership over the next five years.

Supermacs Bring the Love for Gaillimh

Supermac’s has added a county-specific layer to the wider promotion of the TG4 All-Ireland Finals through its long-standing sponsorship of Galway Ladies Football.

The Galway-based brand has used its social channels throughout Finals Week to profile the players, count down to Sunday’s senior final against Kerry and encourage supporters to travel to Croke Park.

The activity has included a ticket competition that has given supporters the opportunity to attend the final, alongside content celebrating the work, commitment, and performances that have taken Galway back to the Brendan Martin Cup decider.

Supermac’s has also put additional visibility behind the team journey through its sponsorship of the Galway Ladies team coach. The branded coach has been promoted around the county during Finals Week as a travelling expression of support for the team and an invitation to Galway followers to get behind the players in Croke Park.

Together, the different strands create a coherent build-up to Sunday: emotion and belonging from the LGFA, visibility and fan experience from Lidl, and national reach and accessibility from TG4.

More than 48,000 people attended the 2025 finals, the largest Croke Park crowd for the event since the 56,000+ record set in 2019. Sunday provides another opportunity to convert the sport’s growing profile into a major live audience.

The aim is not merely to fill seats for three matches.

It is to make Finals Day feel like a celebration that belongs to the entire sport — from the six county teams chasing All-Ireland titles to the young players, recreational teams, volunteers, and families who sustain Ladies Gaelic Football throughout the year.

For the love of the sport, the invitation is simple: be there.
