Congratulations to the four Irish participants who have successfully completed and been awarded their European Sponsorship Association 2022 ESA Diploma.

They were part of a 51-strong cohort of successful students from across Europe and around the world who have now joined the ranks of nearly 600 contemporaries who have achieved the industry’s premier qualification since 2012.

The four from Ireland are:

Sean Haughey, Senior Associate Consultant at Teneo Sports Advisory
Aisling O’Shea, Racing and Sponsorship Executive at The Galway Races Ireland
Martina Dolan, Digital Media and Sports Sponsorship Executive at Eirdesign
Peter Scott, Head of Customer Success at Onclusive

This year’s students came from eight different countries, reinforcing a growing trend for multinational markets participating in the Diploma and taking advantage of its many, varied learnings. Among the other organisations to take part were Sail GOP and McLaren F1

All of this year’s graduating class are now eligible to join the ESA Diploma Alumni Society, launched earlier this year, adding to its status as a significant networking resource in the industry.

“It has been another year of considerable achievement with some excellent performances from the Class of ’22,” said ESA Diploma Course Director, Peter Raymond.

“These students deserve special commendation because 2022 has been a challenging year with businesses returning to some degree of normality and, for many of them, studying time was harder to find.”

“That said, the outstanding performances of a number of our growing global contingent warrants special mention. The ESA Diploma continues to provide an unrivalled grounding for anyone who wants to develop a serious career in the marketing of sport, the arts and entertainment.”

“Our aim is to continue to build the ESA Diploma’s reputation as one of the best sponsorship courses in the world.”

Enrolment for the 2023 ESA Diploma, which begins in January, is now open with a 20 per cent early bird discount for those who sign up by 25 November 2022.

The deadline for entry to the 2023 ESA Awards, of which our own Rob Hartnett is one of the judges in the Best of Europe category, is one minute to midnight this coming Friday, October 21st.
