Lorna Fox has joined Connacht Rugby as a senior commercial manager, moving on from the role of head of marketing, communications, and sponsorship with Triathlon Ireland.

Fox had returned to take up that role after a decade in Australia, where she had most recently worked as a Marketing manager with St Kilda in the AFL.

It is a great time to join Connacht, with strong partnerships already in place with Genesys, Bank of Ireland, Laya Healthcare, Connacht Hospitality Group, and the Atlantic Technological University, among others.

Work has begun on the redevelopment of the Sports Grounds, and a new partnership has already been signed with multinational Dexcom to rename the home ground Dexcom Stadium on an initial ten-year basis.

The role that Fox will take up as part of the wider commercial and marketing department, led by Philip Patterson, was advertised over the summer, including the Sports for Business jobs in the Sports section.

She will now lead revenue generation initiatives in sponsorship, hospitality, and advertising, working with a strong team that includes Gavin Duffy, Ruth Storan, Stephen Long, and Trish Walsh.
