Sport for Business will tonight join many of you, the biggest names in sport and business in Ireland at the 2013 Irish Sponsorship Awards at the Doubletree Hilton (formerly the Burlington Hotel).
Last year, in our first year of existence, Sport for Business was shortlisted in the Agency category of the Irish Sponsorship Awards. This year, we were invited back to participate on the judging panel.
The quality of entries for the Awards was very high with a great blend of long time sponsors intent on keeping their message fresh and new entrants looking to make a mark through imaginative use of the assets at their disposal.
We will be live on twitter throughout the evening @SportforBusines and will of course carry a full report of the winners and the stories from a night of celebration.
Sponsorship is of course only a part of the relationship between sport and business, but it is high profile and can often be the key to unlocking other areas where both sides, and society as a whole can gain.
