Today, we focus on TikTok, including the Horse Racing Ireland video of a Horse’s heart, viewed almost four million times.

August 2024 Highlights on TikTok

 

 

317 TikToks (+6%) were posted by Sport for Business members in August, which resulted in 797,199 engagements (+31%) and 9.84 million views (+23%).

By comparison, the number of engagements this month last year was 499,516 and the number of views was 7.1 million.

Horse Racing Ireland (4 million), Ireland Football (1.2 million), and Ladies Gaelic Football (1.07 million) topped the view counts.

The Ladies Gaelic Football and Paralympic Ireland accounts topped the activity charts with 37 posts apiece.

The LGFA posted the moment that Fermanagh were crowned Junior All-Ireland
Champions and Paralympic Ireland took us behind the scenes as the athletes headed to the Opening Ceremony. In third, the URC (32) featured the Stormers’ Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu as he started at 10 for the Springboks in The Rugby Championship.

When ranked by average engagement per post, HRI (31,827) topped the charts, followed by Ireland Football (11,216) as they lent into the Oasis hype with this throwback clip of Noel Gallagher pledging his allegiance to Ireland, and in third, Irish Rugby (5,392) took us back to the tour of South Africa.

Horse Racing Ireland claimed the top TikTok for August – their post comparing the size of a horse’s heart to a human heart (it has to be seen to be believed!) has been viewed over 4 million times and was the most ‘liked’, commented on, and shared post across the Sport for Business members.
