Leinster Hockey has announced the renewal of its sponsorship agreement with AerCap, extending a partnership that has supported the province’s player pathway since 2019.
Under the renewed agreement, AerCap will continue as the primary sponsor of the Leinster Hockey Development Programme. The company’s branding will remain on the front of players’ shirts and will feature prominently across programme events and collaborative initiatives throughout the season.
Denise McKenna, General Manager of Leinster Hockey, welcomed the continuation of the relationship, saying that AerCap’s backing has become an integral part of the programme’s progress in recent years.
“We’re delighted to renew our partnership with AerCap for the Development Programme,” she said. “AerCap’s support has been a constant presence within the programme and is highly valued across the hockey community. Our partnership with AerCap allows us to continue providing exciting opportunities for players and coaches while further enhancing youth development throughout the province.”
AerCap has partnered with Leinster Hockey for the past seven years, supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening the development pathway and encouraging increased participation in the sport across the province.
Gillian Culhane, Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing at AerCap, said the company was proud to see the continued growth of the programme and the talent emerging from it.
“AerCap has been proud to partner with Leinster Hockey over the past seven years, supporting the development of the game across the province and inspiring more children to take up hockey,” she said. “We are excited to continue our partnership with Leinster Hockey and shine a spotlight on the growth and talent within the hockey community.”
The renewed deal comes as Leinster Hockey prepares for an expanded 2026 season across its Development Programme. The U20 Leinster Interprovincial Team will be reintroduced with a full programme in place, marking an important addition to the province’s performance pathway.
The overall programme schedule will broaden through the introduction of a wider District Hockey Model, designed to increase match exposure and engagement levels for players. This will include participation in a Regional Blitz, alongside additional fixtures aimed at providing meaningful competitive opportunities.
The U16 and U18 Leinster squads are also preparing for the upcoming Interprovincial Tournament, supported by an expanded calendar featuring a number of high-profile fixtures as part of their preparation.
Leinster Hockey has indicated that further updates and announcements relating to the 2026 programme will be made available through its official channels in the coming months.
