One of Croke Park’s Executive Suites is to be turned into an exclusive Penthouse apartment for one night only as the unique prize in a competition being run by All Ireland Hurling Championship sponsors Littlewoods Ireland.
Billed as the Ultimate Croke Park Sleepover the promotion was launched yesterday by brand ambassador Jackie Tyrell.
Littlewoods Ireland will combine its fashion, sportswear, electrical and homeware retail elements to give one family of four the experience of a lifetime by staying overnight in a fully furnished luxury penthouse complete with living room, master bedroom and bathroom.
They will wake up on the morning of the All Ireland Hurling Final on Sunday, August 19th and pull back the curtains to get an early morning view of the pitch never previously enjoyed by any fan.
Each of the rooms will be furnished with top of the range Littlewoods Ireland furniture, homeware, electrics, toys, clothes and more. Once the family have enjoyed the Final all of the items will be shipped to their own home for them to keep.
The prize is valued at over €15,000 and will be the centrepiece of a major promotion next week on the Dermot & Dave Show on Today FM.
As well as the match tickets, unique overnight experience and all the gear, Jackie Tyrrell will begin the experience with a VIP tour of the stadium featuring many special surprises throughout the evening.
“It is a very special prize and the reaction we have got on social media already today has been really strong,” said Littlewoods Sponsorship Executive and Sport for Business 30 under 30 Member Pippa Doyle.
“Bringing together all the elements of what we sell works for the business and will make a memorable prize for the family that ends up sleeping in the stadium.”
2018 marks the second year as a sponsor of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship for Ireland’s leading online department store, following the announcement of their three-year partnership with the GAA in December 2016.
As part of their overall agreement, Littlewoods Ireland has also partnered as title sponsor of the National Camogie League and the GAA Go Games provincial days.
