We are live this morning at one of the biggest gatherings of Irish marketing and sponsorship professionals of the year when the Aviva Stadium will host the annual ‘Who Won Sponsorship’ event staged by Onside and the Marketing Institute of Ireland.
This year’s theme is ‘The Big Time’ with a focus on the Olympic and Paralympic Games and with some of the biggest brands operating in Sport and Entertainment.
Gavin Noble of the Olympic Federation of Ireland and Philip Greene from PTSB will discuss their partnership and they will be joined by Paula Fahy of RTÉ to talk about the way in which the Games and the Athletes gripped the nation.
Rhys McClenaghan, Ellen Keane and Orla Comerford will be on stage to talk about that from the athlete perspective.
Katherine Shiels of KPMG, Mary McGuire of Aer Lingus and John Carey of Just Eat will consider the balance between global events and local priorities from a sponsorship perspective.
Jo Harrington of Live Nation, Linda Nolan of Boots Ireland and Meadhbh Quinn of Bord Gáis Energy will take up the conversation around entertainment and Festivals.
The final discussion will travers both sides of the sponsorship equation with Shaun Harvey coming over to tell the story of Wrexham AFC from the pitch to the Hollywood A-List.
Dotted though the morning will be insight from Onside on research among the public and the industry on which partnerships landed and there will be a buzz of conversation at each of the breaks.
It all kicks off over coffee and chat this morning from 8 am. Sport for Business will be there and we hope to see you there too.
The Sport for Business Membership comprises nearly 300 organisations including all the leading sports and sponsors, commercial and state agencies.
