On Friday, September 16th, 80 members of the Sport for Business community came together for our annual Sponsorship showcase event at the Sport Ireland Campus.

It was a busy morning with 20 pitches of imaginative sponsorship ideas for 2023 brought to life in front of an audience of peers in the sports world, brands with an eye on sponsorship innovation and agencies advising them.

A jury of 12 sponsorship experts gave their collective opinion on each of the projects and the one that emerged as having made the strongest impact was the idea of the Community Box at Dalymopunt Park, presented by Dan Lambert of Bohemian FC.

Over the course of the next four days, we will share a precis of the different presentations made together with a hint of how they went down with our jury.

Above is a selection of the images from the event which despite the complexity of the timetable we started and finished bang on our marks.

This is a great event for bringing together brands and sporting bodies that might not normally have a chance to learn from each other and we are excited already to share the presentations with our wider Sport for Business membership on request so that we can see what might emerge in terms of future partnerships.

The event will certainly take place again in 2023 and we are looking forward to it entering the planning phase already.
