Football fans will have a rare opportunity next week to spend an evening in the company of one of the game’s most decorated figures, as Martin O’Neill takes centre stage at an exclusive dinner event hosted by the Sporting Club Ireland at Mackenzie’s, Hanover Quay, on Wednesday, November 12th.
Honouring a commitment made before he was asked by Dermot Desmond to step back into top-flight management with Celtic, O’Neill will join guests in Dublin for what promises to be a memorable night of reflection, humour, and football insight. 24 hours before Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal come to the Aviva Stadium, that may feature somewhat as well, and perhaps Roy Keane might be part of the conversation. Anything is possible.
But it will likely be the Celtic connection that makes this an event that football fans will not want to miss.
The evening begins with welcome drinks and photos from 6.30pm, offering each guest the chance for a personal photograph with the man himself, before sitting down to a three-course dinner with wine overlooking the Grand Canal Dock.
From his European Cup-winning days with Nottingham Forest to leading Ireland through unforgettable nights on the international stage, O’Neill’s career spans eras, emotions, and extraordinary success. In conversation, he brings a blend of sharp intelligence, wit, and candour that makes every story resonate.
The Sporting Club is fresh to this space and deserving of support for the mix of celebrity sizzle and networking connection that they are bringing to life.
We have a discount code for a limited number of Sport for Business members who would like to join us on the night but there are only a few places remaining so email rob@sportforbusiness.com if you’d like to avail of that.
It could be a very special night.
