Sky Sports has strengthened its position at the heart of elite golf broadcasting with the announcement of a new multi-year extension of its partnership with Augusta National Golf Club, ensuring that The Masters Tournament will remain exclusively live on Sky Sports and NOW across the UK and Ireland.

The renewed agreement builds on one of the longest-standing and most valuable relationships in sports media and will deliver almost 20 per cent more live coverage from Augusta National across Masters week.

Fans will have increased access to the tournament through dedicated feeds, including Amen Corner, Featured Groups, and Live on the Range, reflecting the continued evolution of premium sports broadcasting towards deeper, more immersive coverage.

The 2025 tournament will long be remembered for Rory McIlroy capturing his first Green Jacket, becoming the first European player to complete a career Grand Slam.

The final day drew a peak audience of 1.85 million viewers, accounting for 37 per cent of total TV viewership, and contributed to the most-watched day in Sky Sports’ history—a powerful demonstration of golf’s ability to deliver mass-market reach at moments of genuine sporting significance.

Jonathan Licht, Sky’s Chief Sports Officer, said the extension further cements Sky Sports’ status as the home of golf in the UK and Ireland, highlighting McIlroy’s Masters triumph as one of the standout sporting moments of 2025 and signalling Sky’s ambition to continue delivering unmissable drama from Augusta National in the years ahead.

In addition to the Masters itself, Sky Sports will continue to air the Masters Par 3 Contest and the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, alongside the Latin America Amateur Championship and Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship. Together, these events showcase the sport’s elite, its emerging talent, and its growing global pathways, adding depth and narrative to Sky’s golf portfolio.

Sky Sports’ golf offering is further differentiated by its commitment to innovation in production and the viewer experience. The broadcaster has invested in advanced tools, including 3D augmented reality, Trackman Golf Simulator analysis, and the golfing world’s first Spidercam deployment at The Open Championship at Royal Portrush, helping bring audiences closer to the action than ever before.

The 2026 Masters will take place from April 6–12 and will once again be shown exclusively live on Sky Sports and NOW, supported by comprehensive coverage across Sky Sports Golf, Sky Sports News, digital platforms, and social channels.

Sport for Business Perspective

The deal underlines the enduring commercial power of iconic sporting properties when paired with a broadcaster capable of delivering scale, innovation and audience growth. It follows Sky Sports’ most comprehensive Masters coverage to date in 2025, a year that proved transformative both for the sport and for the broadcaster, with Rory McIlroy’s victory.
