The Paralympic Games have provided another inspiring vision of what can be achieved in sport and Ireland crashed through it’s medal target last night with three days of competition still to go.
Four gold medals on the track and on the bike have been added to by silver and bronze in the pool and from the Discus ring as Niamh McCarthy and Orla Barry became the two latest heroines to achieve their dreams.
We will have a full review of the Paralympic success next week but on a weekend of crowded sporting activity we still want to applaud the wonderful achievements of these great ambassadors for Ireland and for sport….
